Advanced modpacks can be used in ways to reduce file size, because as long as you pack all the files required, you can pack them in any order, and add options for different texture and models.

I’ll be using a hair as an example of how I make my advanced modpacks!

1. Creating the modpack

Start by giving it a name, and an optional description!

Press “New Page” when you’re ready to go.

2. Structuring your modpack

Here is where I start to think about how I will structure the modpack. My requirements are as follows:

• Texture for vanilla ears/earless
• Specular texture options
• Model option & metadata for each race

I’ll start by packing the textures!

3. Adding textures

Since every single hair will be using the normals, I’ve decided to put everything in these options except for:
